Indulge in the Decadence of Walnut Brownies!

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×13-inch baking pan or line it with parchment paper.
  2. In a microwave-safe bowl or using a double boiler, melt the butter. Once melted, stir in the sugar until well combined. Allow the mixture to cool slightly.
  3. Add the eggs, one at a time, to the butter-sugar mixture, stirring well after each addition. Mix in the vanilla extract.
  4. In a separate bowl, sift together the flour, cocoa powder, and salt. Gradually add this dry mixture to the wet ingredients, stirring until combined. Be careful not to overmix.
  5. Fold in the chopped walnuts and chocolate chips (if using) until evenly distributed throughout the batter.
  6. Pour the batter into the prepared baking pan, spreading it out evenly with a spatula. Sprinkle additional chopped walnuts on top if desired.
  7. Bake in the preheated oven for approximately 25-30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the centre comes out with a few moist crumbs (not wet batter). Be cautious not to overbake, as this can make the brownies dry.
  8. Once done, remove the brownies from the oven and allow them to cool completely in the pan on a wire rack before slicing and serving.
