Roasted Ham with Glazed Encrusted Nuts

Roasted Ham with Glazed Encrusted Nuts.

  1. Preheat your oven to 325°F (160°C).
  2. Place the ham in a roasting pan, fat side up.
  3. Score the surface of the ham in a diamond pattern with a sharp knife, making shallow cuts about 1/4 inch deep.
  4. Brush the ham with some of the glazes from the glazed-encrusted nuts, ensuring it covers the entire surface.
  5. In a food processor, pulse the pecans and walnuts until they are finely chopped, but not powdered.
  6. Mix the chopped pecans and walnuts with the remaining glazed encrusted nuts.
  7. Roast the ham in the preheated oven for about 15 minutes per pound, or until the internal temperature reaches 140°F (60°C) when tested with a meat thermometer.
  8. During the last 30 minutes of roasting, sprinkle the glazed encrusted nuts mixture over the surface of the ham, pressing them gently into the glaze.
  9. Once the ham is fully cooked and golden brown, remove it from the oven and let it rest for 10-15 minutes before carving.
  10. Serve the roasted ham garnished with additional glazed encrusted nuts mixture for a delectable and festive dish. Enjoy!
